LE GRAND BATTLE

4 authors/composers go head to head in thankless combat. The four belligerents will be confronted with plenty of rhymes, octosyllables and no shortage of slang. More to make you laugh than tremble, more to convince than win you over, this “Grand Battle” brings the forgotten members of the Star Ac’ back to pride of place: songwriters.

Principle: As when improvising, each writer makes a special effort to fill time with a singsong: a parody of known songs, exquisite corpses, puns… The writing takes place before the public’s very eyes, whilst one of the writers/singers presents something from their repertoire.

I reply “Ex-votos, on roadsides, you see, the plastic flowers planted in memory of accident victims”.
“Ah…”. And then everyone sees.
We should probably call them that because they don’t actually have a real name. When you find out what they are, you start to ask yourself a few questions…
Later “OK, I did think of you when I went on holiday, and have seen something too good to be true!”

ESAD

Ches Panses Vertes/A la fenêtre At the nuit blanche in Amiens, the Maison du Théâtre will turn into a sort of giant castle… Under the artistic direction of Sylvie Baillon, the stage director at Ches Panses Vertes, puppets, shade and objects will adorn the Maison’s windows. In a Tam Tam setting – the undersides of the puppets.

A black screen for a nuit blanche

In partnership with the Centre National des Arts Plastiques.
Works from the collection held by the Fonds National d’ Art Contemporain.
From the Police Station, Pascale Cassagnau, Inspector of design in charge of the recording at the Centre National des Arts Plastiques.

Based on the idea of Sabine Cazenave, the Director of the Musées d’Amiens and Barbara Dennys, the Director of ESAD (Ecole Supérieure d’ Art et de Design)

As part of the nuit blanche 2009, the Bibliothèque Louis Aragon, in partnership with the Musée de Picardie and ESAD brings you a selection of videos from contemporary artists on loan from the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain (F.N.A.C.). Amongst them: Nil Yalter, or even Eleanor Antin. They contributed towards the development of video as a design medium. The videos shown will have to do with the body or writing.
Films will be shown at the beginning of each session by Pascale Cassagnau, Inspector of artistic design (Délégation aux arts plastiques).

A room you cannot enter, a hospital room in Chinese shades. You do not know whether the patient is resting or whether he is fighting himself. You need to keep your voice down so as not to wake him. Pictures are projected onto the walls, at the pace of a beating heart.
